Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Kveld started to move toward the door, to stop her from leaving, but she told him to not look so concerned. Instead, he opened the door for her and stepped out, making sure Anya was gone and that the humans a couple of apartments down wasn't out. He noticed Jerry's car still sitting in the lot and he growled, noticing the man was leaning against his car, as if waiting for something. "Allow Jerry tae drive ye?" he asked, turning to look at Sarah.
She was so tiny, compared to him. The light had thrown his shadow over her and even their mingled shadows behind her, there was a tell tell difference between the two. "He be a good lad . . . . if nae de best in me pack," he stated, glancing over his shoulder to give the human an apologetic look. He hadn't meant to snap at the boy when he had opened the door. Sarah Mayburn So much moreKveld, I would get there faster running than with a car any way she said putting a hand one his chest And anyway, its just so that I can get clothes and possibly grab something to eat. I will be like...five minutes, seriously. You can time me if you wish
And with that she left, she hadn't wanted to waste the two hours argueing about whether she should go in a car to the cabin in the woods, which he probably didn't even know about. Never mention the fact that the car wouldn't get there.
She entered the cabin and went to dig in the chest with her clothes for something clean. She found herself a pair of black jeans and a lilac top with a white jacket. She could hear thunder rumbeling in the distance, which meant spring rains. SHe left the cabin and took a short detour, finding herself a plump rabbit which she disposed of before going back to the apartment. See, ten minutes she said as she arrived okay, well technically fifteen but five minutes extra don't count he probably smelt the rabbit on her so he would know she had a quick hunt.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Kveld watched as Sarah took off, not relizing that Jerry had bore witness to her place her hand on his chest like they were lovers, or the touch was natural. These were things he would have to explain to her when she returned. He looked at the sun, squinting. Five minutes. That gave him enough time to shower. With a dismissing nod to Jerry, Kveld turned back to his apartment and disappeared inside.
He had just finished his shower and was walking down the hallway when she entered unannounced, though had he been listening, or turly cared, he would have heard her. When she walked it, she would have witnessed him standing in the hallway, wearing only a towel around his waist. The edge of the towel went down to his knee cap, at least. "You hunted . . . . Poor rabbit," he growled/purred, as he turned into the kitchen and went back to the washer and dryer. Pulling a pair of pants out of the dryer, he pulled them on, keeping the towel around his waist, then dropped the towel into the hamper next to the washer, before turning back to Sarah. "De shower be yers," he stated, grinning.
"Dere be only one, dough," he stated, knowing she would know that the only shower he had in the apartment was in his bedroom. "I'll eat while ye shower," he stated, sitting at the kitchen table and opening the pizza box he had left there. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreSarah nodded and headed towards the shower. She quickly got herself showered and then dressed. She folded her dirty clothes which she then put in the bag she had brought with, tidied up then left the bathroom. She headed down the hall and put her bag in an inconspicous place before going to sit on the futon next to Kveld.
"The rabbit was not poor nor misfortuned...life just got to him She said smiling slightly, she leaned back against the chair and watched Kveld eat. She felt much better now.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Sighing, Kveld put the pizza box on the floor and looked at the t.v. and shook his head. He had left the thing on and it was showing some commerical for some product he would never buy or be interested in buying. "When every one gets 'ear," he started, not taking his eyes off the t.v., "Dere will be a lot of questions, most likely someone will snap and a fight will start. Donae panic . . . . . Donae run. Stay be me side and I will protect ye," he stated, finally glancing at Sarah.
How he wished he could have kept her from the pack just a bit longer . . . . . Anya seemed to be more interested in his position than ever. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreWouldn't think about it, the running bit you know She said softly, after all he had procaimed himself her guardian and he had said that he would protect her didn't he?
She looked at the commercials closing her eyes for a few moments. You...well um do know that I am not...just a vampire right? She said even softer, this was the reason Kindler had wanted to kill her, the reason she loved the cold so much. This was the biggest curse yet the best gift in her life.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part thingying his head to the side, Kveld looked at Sarah with question in his eyes. "What da ye mean, lassie?" he questioned, "Dat yer nae just a vampire?"
He should have known, the true reason Kindler had been so intent on killing her. He was sure that there were a couple, possibly more, half vampires running around Kindler's clan, so why should he be interested in killing one girl. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreI have these...powers She said testing the word, rolling it on her tongue...I have had them...for a long time, I guess they are the main reason I am alive today...and sort off a total reject with humans She looked at him, meeting his questioning gaze. She lifted her hand up and slowley but surely blue flames began to lick her wrist and slithered up into her hand. She now held a ball of the coldest thing on earth. A thing only gifteds could make.
She put it out quickly, not wanting to have to feed again to soon. It didn't take her energy but her life force and she didn't want to have to grasp onto Kveld's or an innocent walking down the street.
I have to hunt in two diffrent ways, one for blood and the other for...well life actually. she said lowering her gaze, she hated the life hunting part. I try not to take all of the life though She added quickly Well unless I am planning to take the creatures blood...
She HATED hunting for life. Every time she took it she could feel the creature die. SHe didn't nottice it but a tear had begun to roll down her cheek, something so simple as life. And she took it. She was a selfish, selfish person. Was blood not enough?

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Jerry Valo A Lamb Among Wolves Leaning close, Kveld took Sarah's shoulders in his hands, slightly pulling her toward him, to allow her to lean on him for support. One hand slipped from her shoulder, the back of it coming into contact with her cheek, lightly brushing the single tear that had slipped down from her eyes. "Dis . . . . Dis be what makes ye different farm de others," he said, the tear sitting on his finger, before he shook it away and continued to pull her to him, slowly leaning back until he was leaning against the futon.
"Rest yer head, lassie. We still have awhile befare de pack arrives," he stated, slightly turning his body to where his feet were resting on the floor and his left arm resting on the metal bar of the futon, while his back leaned agains the railing and matress of the futon.
There was no warning, no knock, or sound when Jerry Valo walked into the apartment of Kveld O'Connor. Not even the sound of the door knob turning. The human pizza deliever boy looked at the figures on the futon of the Alpha Male's apartment with curious wonder, but he left them alone, moving to the kitchen. "Donae cook anyding," he heard from the living room, as he took a seat at the dinning table, looking over at the werewolf and the young girl.
"Something isn't right with her," Jerry said, causing his Alpha to chuckle. "De lass could probably say de same ding about ye, lad," was Kveld's response, as if it was a joke that Jerry knew there was a young vampiric girl leaning up against him in his apartment. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreShe just lay there, she felt comforted, calm and more at home in one place than she had ever felt in her life. If she had been human she would have let the raging tiredness overwhelm her and she would sleep. But she wasn't human, she was a vampire. Though while lying there she could not help but hope that she would be accepted by the others whose names had never been mentioned. She knew the things she wished for would never really happen to her with all the complications and such. But she allowed herself to dream. Allowed herself to pretend she was what she was not and that this was truely where she belonged.
In her heart she felt that it should be this way, that she should stay with the werewolves forever. Though she feared the future, she didn't know how long werewolves lived. She worried that if they had human lifespans that one day when Kveld was gone that she would be thrown out...or something of the sort.
She didn't really take much nottice of the entry, she didn't feel like moving or doing anything. Just resting. She closed her eyes slightly and investigated he many smells around he apartment, the young boy's, the things in the kitchen, the rooms, Kvelds'.
"Kveld" She said softly, a voice usually only vampires would be able to hear. She flickered open her eyes for a second, dwelling on that. She looked over the boy before closing them again, concluding that she would just have to ask him later.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Jerry Valo A Lamb Among Wolves As the female spoke his Alpha's name, Jerry slowly drew one of the throwing knives from the sheath on his forearm. The slim bladed knife was coated in silver nitrate, something that would do serious damage to a werewolf, but simply slow a vampire down. The young human tapped the edge of the throwing knife into the dinning table, seeming to fill the small apartment with the tapping of his blade.
"Cut it out, lad," Kveld growled, wrapping a protective arm around Sarah. "Hush now, lassie. Jerry be a simple lad who be tryin' tae keep me alive. Dat be all," he said, softly rubbing his hand along Sarah's arm. Over her head, he glared gold at Jerry, watching as the boy put his knife down, flat on the table. "Did ye get in touch wid de pups?' he questioned, watching as Jerry nodded, nodding in turn before laying his head back against the futon, being sure that he wasn't baring his throat this time.
"Da ye want tae be like dis when de pack arrives?" Kveld questioned Sarah, lightly patting her arm. It was up to her on how the pack saw them together. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreListening to the tap-tap sound of the knife Sarah opened her eyes slightly to look at the boy and watched him for a bit while he and th Alpha exchanged words. She didn't really fear him, there were many reasons not to, knives didn't damage that much anyway.
She sat for a minute, dwelling on what Kveld had asked her. She didn't mind. "It is up to Kveld" She said turning her gaze to the Tv that was still on. Stupid advertisements again.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Jerry Valo A Lamb Among Wolves Seeing that no one was moving, Jerry sighed, and stood, slipping the throwing knife back into it's sheath and moving down the hall. He disappeared into the guest bathroom. The sound of the bathroom door closing and locking seemed to send a chill through the house. If anyone beside Kveld and Sarah were ther.
"Lass . . . . Ye should be wary around Jerry," Kveld whispered, slowly shifting his weight as Sarah started watching t.v. "De lad be good . . . . . at 'is . . . . job," he said, stumbling over how to describe what Jerry really did for a living. "He be a bit like yerself, Sarah . . . . A halfling dat isnae accepted by de vampires," he said, leaving it at that. If Sarah wanted to know more, she would have to ask Jerry, himself. "But far now . . . Let me up. I need tae at least be wearin' a shirt so dat de pregnant doges donae drool on me carpet," he sighed, slipping from the futon and standing. As he stood, he stretched, lifting his body on the balls of his toes and stretching his arms toward the ceiling, his finger tips actually brushing the ceiling.
Lowering his body back down to it's original height, Kveld turned and started down the hallway, disappearing into the bedroom.
A few moments later, Jerry appeared back in the living room, leaning against the far wall. "You do know what Kveld has offered you, right?" he questioned, head thingyed to the side, while he regarded the girl. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn So much moreSighing as Kveld got up to go and get dressed Sarah grabbed the remote, flicking through the channels. She pulled her legs up to her chin and eyed the TV. Not much was on, so she just resolved to watching the moving box and letting her mind roam somewhere else. She was thinking about Jerry. He sorta scared her in a way, almost everything in this new world scared her. The thing that she was, the things that wanted her gone, the friends, the desires, the food.
She turned to Jerry as he spoke, her chin resting on her knees. "Sort off" She said eyeing him, studying his face. This was the same one who had delivered the pizza. She remembered Kveld saying something about her been able to have a bit of his blood when he got his pizza...not that she wanted it. The thought of taking a human's blood was a bit gut renching. She pondered the 'good kid' thing though. He looked a bit dangerous to her...not good.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Jerry Valo A Lamb Among Wolves Yer fangs 'rre showin, lad," Kveld growled, coming out of the darkness of the hallway as Jerry was about to comment to Sarah's sort of. "Put dem away, fare de pack arrives," he growled, placing a clawed hand on Jerry's shoulder, actually causing the young man to slightly sag under the weight of the paw. Golden met hazel, before Kveld slowly drew his eyes awa and looked to Sarah. "Would ye like tae stand outside far some fresh air? Dis may be de last time dat ye get dat offer tanight," Kveld grinned, accidently flashing slightly pointed fangs, before Jerry elbowed him in the ribs.
"Talk about me showing fangs. Your tail is wagging, wolf-boy," Jerry stated, walking out of the apartment. He chuckled as from the apartment he heard Wolf lad? [/b] With Kveld's accent, not even an insult could sound insulting. A few seconds later, Kveld followed.[/size][/blockquote]
