Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part The moon was currently hidden behind a very dense cloud, blocking out all the light from the moon, and the dark street lights weren't helping at all. Sighing, Kveld moved silently, even with his burden of Sarah Mayburn in his arms. The gash on her forehead looked bad and he hoped that it wouldn't involve a trip to the hospital.
His apartment complex was bad about butting costs, thus the lights were never on past ten on most houses and the street lights had been busted for as long as Kveld could remember. Walking up the fifteen step stairs that led to the second level of his complex, Kveld made his way to #10 marked door and stood before it. He froze as he realized he had a bit of a problem. How to get his keys without dropping Sarah?
Working her legs higher up on his bicep, he wiggled his arm down until he was able to get his keys out of his pants pocket, glad he hadn't left them in his coat pocket. Once he felt cold steel against slightly warm flesh, he grasped the keys by one key and pulled them out of his pocket, being careful not to drop her while he lifted the keys high enough where he could feel the dead bolt and lock on the door.
He fumbled with the keys for a moment, finding the right one by touch alone, then slipped it home into the dead bolt, unlocking the dead bolt. Next, he slipped the key into the regular lock and unlocked it, pushing the door open and stepping inside.
His house was like any bachelor pad, horribly sparse in furniture, with only a futon and a t.v. set in the living room, a small table with two chairs pushed up against the far wall in the dinning room, and little if any dishes in the cubers above the sink. Turning from the door, he kicked it shut with his boot toe, moving toward the futon, laying Sarah on it. Looking down at her, he debated on getting her out of her damp clothing, but decided it wouldn't be good if she woke up naked on his futon. Instead, he pulled off his trench coat, throwing it over the end of the futon and pulling the blanket down from the back of the futon and covering her.
Turning from her, he went down the hall to change and find some extra clothes for Sarah, along with his frist aid kit. He paused as he walked down the hall, nose lifted slightly. There was something in his house that smelt . . . . Vampiric. [/blockquote]

Sarah Mayburn so much more
"Bloody hell" Sarah whispered as she woke up. "My head feels like its been hit with a brick" She said lifting her hand to her forehead, her makeshift scarf-bandage coming loose from her wrist. Her eyes were still closed as she inspected the wound.
It was about 10 centemeters long. The middle part been the deepest of the gash. It wasn't much comparison though. The skin on her forhead been as thin as it was. Her skull wasn't showing though so it was okay. It was more like a making a mountain out of a molehill. It had bled alot for a scratch but head wounds usaully do.
Her eyes were still closed. She was trying to work up the corouge to open them. She remembered running into the tree and falling unconsious but nothing else. Nevermind how she ended lying on something soft covered in blankets.
she shivered slightly, she was cold. Even though she had a coat and a blanket over her the wet clothes weren't doing any good. She wanted to change but she also wanted to know where she was. She felt suprizingly weak, most likely because she had a concusion. She took her hand away from the wound and opened her eyes to look at it. The bleeding had stopped thankfully.
Staring at the ceiling she wondered weather she should get up and find out where she was or let herself fall asleep again. She closed her eyes again but opened them quickly when she heard a noise. She waited to see who was there and what was going to happen.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Fishing around in his dresser, Kveld left his bedroom, dressed in a pair of black pants and a white towel around his neck, while in his hands were another towel, an oversized T-shirt, and a pair of old, clean boxers. "I can hear yer heart, lassie," he stated, before entering the living room again. "I be comin' in wid some clothes far ye. Donae be throwin' nothin' at me," he stated, poking his cloth laden hands out from the hall, in view of Sarah lying on the couch.
The scent of blood was still hanging around her, but it seemed to be old blood, meaning her wound had stopped bleeding. There was still that underlay of vampire blood that had him curious.
Sticking his head around the corner, seeing her still on the couch, but her eyes open. "Good . . . . Yer awake," he said, laying the clothing at the end of the futon, near Sarah's head. He then turned and went into the kitchen, opening doors and then shutting them. "I be havin' a first aid kit around 'ear, but it seen tae be missin'." he stated, his voice muffled, as he had his head in a cupboard under the sink. [/blockquote]

Why would I through anything at you? Sarah said sitting up. The room began to spin so she closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. She would attempt to stand up but she feared she would fall over again. umm...she said rubbing her head Who are you again?
She searched her mind for his face. Sh couldn't remeber who he was but her mind kept turning to the night she was bitten. I don't think I need any first aid. she looked around the apartment for the first time. She noted that it looked very much like he lived here alone.
She wanted to leave but the room was still spinning. She wasn't sure about been in the strangers house. Her mind turned back to her vampire 'community' they wouldn't be too woried. Mostly they hated her anyway. She was supposed to be thier meal not thier comrade. She looked at the clothes on the end of the futon then turned to the man who had his head stuck in a cupboard. She watched him suspicously wondering why he hadn't left her in the park.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Hearing her ask him why he thought she would throw something at him, Kveld just shrugged his shoulders, as he pulled his head out of the cupboard. "'Bout de same reasun ye ran farm me," he stated, giving her a thingyed grin, before turning back to the cupboards.
"Me name be Kveld O'Connor . . . But ye can just call me Kveld," he stated, about to walk up and shake her hand, but thought secondly about it. Instead, he stayed in the kitchen, searching for his first aid kit.
Normaly humans would have had their first aid kit in their bathrooms, but when you come in at two in the morning, bloodied and beaten, you really didn't want to bleed all over your white carpet, so he kept his in the kitchen.
"It's gat tae be arou-" "I don't think I need any first aid," she said, causing him to turn his head and glace over his shoulder at her. Pulling away from the kitchen and moving into the living room, squating down infront of Sarah, in front of the futon. "Why do ye be sayin' dat, now lassie?" he questioned, dark green orbs catching the light, through the big kitchen window, of a passing car and flashing hot golden. [/blockquote]

Well it would healed by morning Then it hit her who he was, why she was running. She remembered what he had told her. He was a werewolf. She would have gone pale if not for the fact that her skin could not go any lighter. She would have jumped up and ran once again if she did not have the concusion.
It then occured to her to throw something at him. But honestly the only thing she could reach were the clothes and throwing a pair of boxer shorts at a guy would not stop him killing you if he wanted too. She looked at him and around the apartment again. The werewolves did live better off than the vampires. Well the ones she knew. It had been a rumor going around.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Kveld thingyed his head to the side as she spoke. "Well it would healed by morning," she said, as if it was completely normal for gashes and possible concusions to just disappear over night. Shaking his head, Kveld slowly stood, placing a hand on his head, running his fingers through his hair. "None of dis be makin' sense," he stated, stepping back from Sarah.
"'Rre ye human, oar 'rrenae ye?" he questioned, knowing good and well a human wouldn't be up after hitting that tree as hard as she had. He may not have even been able to walk, but he would have been semi-up. He waited for her to answer, hoping she would be truthful, but then again, it was hard to tell with some people. [/blockquote]

No It never occurred to her to lie. It never occurred that that one word would be her end, though she sincerely doubted it. Something about the werewolf made her trust him which was odd in itself. She had never trusted anyone before. Never mind a werewolf.
She looked at him and knew he should already know anyway. Either that or he had no knowledge of the vampire scent she sent circling around the room.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part That one word, "No," she had said, as if she hadn't even thought to hide it from him. Not that it mattered, he would have smelt her lie, before she had even finished the short word. Sighing, he slowly backed up, walking into the kitchen, grabbing a kitchen chair and moving it into the living room to sit before her.
"'Rre ye born oar bitten?" he questioned, still trying to figure out what he was going to do with a vampire that was sitting on his futon. He didn't feel like snapping her neck and throwing her out the window, but at the same time, he wasn't about to go to sleep with her in the house, without talking to her. [/blockquote]

She lifted her hand and showed him her wrist with the two cuts that could have only been caused by teethWhat do you think. It was quite painful She said shuddering at the thought of what had happened only a week past.
She wasn't that comfortable been in the presence of a werewolf but she didn't really mind. She had wanted to sleep a few moments ago but the concussion had worn off and now she felt like doing something other than lying underneath a pile of blankets.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Looking over Sarah's bitten wrist, Kveld only shook his head. "To think . . . Two sworn eneimes are sitting in an apartment living room," Kveld grunted, as a slight scratching sound filled the apartment. Slowly rising, Kveld left the living room without a backward glance. It almost seemed the werewolf was as comfortable with the vampire as the vampire was with him. [/blockquote] Aryan Duty's Middle Name A small, fluffy bundle of molten grey fur with black tips was curled up in the corner of Kveld's bedroom, as Kveld entered the first time, but quickly left. The appearence of twin slightly rounded auds presented themselves as the small wolf pup lifted his head to see where and what his werewolf friend was doing.
Seeing that Kveld had left the room, and closed the door, the small, 11 month old wolf pup quickly got to his paws and woddled over to the door. Lifting up on his back paws, Aryan started to scratch, wanting to know what Kveld was up too in the house.
Within a matter of moments, Kveld was at the bedroom door, growling at him to play nice. thingying his head to one side, not understanding why the werewolf would tell him to be nice, the young Timber wolf pup trotted out of the bedroom and down the hall, into the living room. There, sitting on the futon, that he normally laid on, was a female. He growled, arching his back like he had seen the cats do, and laid his ears flat.
~~
Returning to the living room behind Aryan, Kveld shook his head and nudged the wolf pup with his toe. "Move on pup," he grunted, returning to his chair in the middle of the floor. "'Dat's Aryan . . . . Please donae be eain' 'im." [/blockquote]

I swore nothing Sarah mumbeled to herself as the werewolf left the room. She wasn't quite happy and was starting to get irritated. She was bored with just sitting and wanted to go outside. And anyway she was hungry. She flicked a look at the cloths that Kveld had given her to put on, she didn't think she needed them anymore. Her cloths were dry.
When Kveld came back in followed by the wolf pup she smiled slightly before turning to him and commenting sarcastically on the last comment. I will try not to. She held out a hand for the pup to smell if he wished to do so. It was getting a bit hard to contain herself. She wanted to go out for a quick hunt or something of sort, but she wouldn't eat the wolf. He was too young anyway.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Aryan Duty's Middle Name Watching as Aryan skirted around Sarah, Kveld could only chuckle, but his chuckling soon ended. The breeze that was coming in through his bedroom window and drifting through the apartment was starting to change in temp. Morning was soon on it's way, and his stomach chose that moment to grumble in hunger. "Looks like I could go for something to eat," he whispered under his breath, causing Aryan to jump back and whimper in excited fury.
"Ye 'rre welcome tae stay 'ear . . . . Dere be nothin' tae steal," he shrugged, already standing, and moving toward the front door. "'Dere be a key under de mat . . . . If ye want tae come back in," he stated, opening the door, and showing her the key, before returning the mat and closing the door.
As he shuffled through the apartment, grabbing clothing and a bag, Aryan danced around his legs, almost as if he was trying to trip Kveld, while in truth he was simply excited cause he knew what hunger for Kveld meant. A chance to hunt! [/blockquote]

Thankyou, I think I should go now though She smiled at him thankfully before rising and leaving the apartment. She now knew that she had a safe place to go if she ever needed it and wierdly enough with the most unlikely of people. A werewolf.
She quickly ran down the stairs leaving the wolf puppy and his owner. She would stop by her makeshift home and grab some clothing and possibly a shower before she would enter the woods. Depending on how long that took and what the morning would bring she might only go out that night.

Kveld O'Connor Protect and Serve Til Death do us Part Aryan Duty's Middle Name Standing at the railing of his apartment, Kveld watched as Sarah disappeared into the night, not knowing if he would ever see the vampire girl again. "Aryan . . . . Do you think that our two races could live side by side?" he questioned the wolf pup, even though he knew it couldn't speak to him unless he was in his fur. Sighing, the werewolf left his apartment, being sure to lock up, before entering the woods.
He only hoped that he didn't run into Sarah in the woods, or else one of them may never leave. The hunt was on.
OOC - I guess we should move onto another thread, or should we just continue on with either Sarah ending up back here, while Kveld is out, or what? [/blockquote]
